Problems with my 02 ZTS

I picked up a used 02 ZTS about 6 months ago. Since I bought it ive had to replace 3 of the 4 wheel berrings (rear drivers side wheel almost fell off at 70mph) Both front break rotors, and the sun roof is broken.

The major issues im having right now are:

the Car vibrates at most speeds. Its worse at low and high speeds ( under 20 and over 70) I replaced the berrings, rotors and had the wheels balanced. I heard that the tires can lead to this. any ideas?

On startup there is a loud vibrating nose from the engine.. almost a growling sound. After I drive it a block or two the noise goes away. My mechanic said it was a loose cover in the engine.. I didnt buy it because why would a loose cover only rattle when the engine is cold?

Not so important but the sunroof stopped working properly. If I press the switch to close the roof it actualy opens it.. If i hold it down it goes through the complete open>close>retract>close cycle. Yet pressing the "open" side of the switch results in nothing.

Thanks for any help

Re: Problems with my 02 ZTS

It sounds like one or more of the tires have broken belts. Jack up each wheel and spin it. A broken belt will cause the tire to be out of round and/or a shift in the tread.

The noise you hear is probably an exhaust heat shield. Depending on where it is, the cause is either a broken bolt or spot weld. Once the exhaust gets hot, the shield expands and distorts to the point where the noise goes away.

Your sunroof problem is probably a bad connection/ground. When you activate the switch, the power finds an alternate path due to an open circuit, causing it to operate erratically. Check the connector at the switch first and make sure none of the terminals are pushed out of place.
