looking for...

a band that plays music that sounds like it was played in a club.. kinda chillin... kind of like this one strokes track that I can't think of the name... but it sounds like it was recorded in a club... the drums sound kind of hollow and almost echo... and the microphone sounds like it was RIGHT next to the amp... just sounds chillin...

like short riffs, higher riffs.. chillin music

anyone know of anything similar?

PS: in the track he says... "I dont wanna waste your time..." in the beginning.. if any of you have "Room On Fire"

I'm not sure if this is what you're looking for or not, but you may want to try some songs by "Air", such as "All I Need" or "You Make It Easy."

BTW, the Strokes track you're talking about is "Under Control." Best way to find the title of a song like that is to go to Google, and search for "Strokes "waste your time" lyrics."

Ps. - Not sure what you mean by the microphone being right next to the amp...in fact a microphone right next to a speaker will usually cause "feedback," which is that high pitched whine that gets increasingly louder. What's happening is that speakers always emit a quiet hum, and the microphone picks up and amplifies that hum, making it louder through the speaker, where the microphone picks it up and amplifies it again, continually getting louder. Thus, you should always try to place a microphone behind your speakers so that it won't pick up the hum.
