Re: Ecu Help!

The only part I would make sure is that the transmisions are the same. I dont know if there is a difference, but I wouldnt like to know the outcome if there is.

Re: Ecu Help!

lol thanks, I know they aren't EXACTLY the same, but the only difference is the body and labels...and yes the transmissions are the same, I just put a Stealth 5-speed into my 3000GT which was automatic...they both use the F4A33 (automatic) or the F5M33 (manual), for the non-turbo's at least.

Re: Ecu Help!

I guess I was saying if he has an ATX, dont put the MTX ECU in it. I dont know if the ECU crontrols the shift points, or if there is a seperate controler. Technical, you did the swap, any idea if its built in or a serperate box?

Re: Ecu Help!

yeah there's a seperate ECU that controls the ATX, its not in the same case as the main ECU for the car, so you could interchange the main ECU (or ECM idk i'm too tired to remember what the main one is abbreviated as) no matter the transmission, but if you wanted to swap a ATX for a MTX then you would need the seperate ecu and wire harness. BTW that's a great sig rofl. I like those mods.
