possible fixer-upper

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...&category=6398
looks really rough but could make a good start really cheap for someone that wants one but couldn't afford one. i'm sure you could find another door and fender and have the quarter fixed correctly.

Wow, WTF did they use, house paint and a roller?

Anyway, I wouldn't drop more than the $500 deposit on that car. The whole car needs to be stripped, primed and repainted, the interior is decent at best and frankly I don't care what they have listed, you're going to be dumping some money under the hood.

Re: possible fixer-upper

is it just me or does it kind of look like it has been flooded? the engine can't be that dirty after 127k miles.

depends on where it came from. like mississippi, some places it is like driving through sand dunes. i dont know about this guy. im woth broke. good project car but i would pay more than maybe $750 just because its a newer model z32.

but basically paint and all that is free for you. so basically it would just be concerning yourself with engine troubles. might be worth it in your case since you can paint your own cars. looks like they grabbed a TT hatch because that hatch has the TT spoiler molded into the body from the factory. my opinion, in your case i would snatch it up because you can do all the paint work for almost free. its up to you...

Re: possible fixer-upper

Its a definate deal for 1k, if I had the money I would snatch it up to save it...... I know paintshop people in TX so I could get it repainted without a problem I would just pay for parts and paint. Same for the body work. As for the engine, well thats easy if it runs good just change the timing belt and waterpump, then replace the engine mounts. Then I would have 2 Z32s. lol.

I am not obsessed or anything.

No offense E Honda but do us a favor, cut all those sig pictures down to half their current size and they stick them side by side.

That Z32 is basically a waste investment wise unless the claim that the engine is in very good shape more or less is true. Regardless, if you actually want to fix all that is wrong with it you'll be doing an engine pull to fix the engine mount. Clean up the interior, sand and paint it, fix whatever is too loud banging and clanking wise and pawn it off on someone. Might make a grand or two if you are lucky and everything goes smooth.
