Re: WRX vs A4

WRX has a big advantage. A4's are really heavy and tuned more for luxury than performance.

audi A4's with a 5 speed are low 16 second to high 15 second cars.

a 5 speed WRX runs 14.1, its not even a close match.

wrx has higher hp, and lighter weight.

Re: WRX vs A4

yeah, wrx would have no problems winning against an A4, even a chipped A4. i also would rather have an A4 though. much better car otherwise.

Couple of questions:

1) Out of interest, why are you comparing two totally different types of car?

2) Which engine is it in the A4. There are big differences bettween the 1.6FSi and the 4.2 V8...

2) which auto box is it. CVT, DSG?

Re: WRX vs A4

Yeah I own a 5-Speed Audi A4, not really that fast when compared to the WRX. I raced a WRX and it wasn't even close. Still the interior of the A4 is much better than the WRX, but I'd take the WRX over my car any day.

I'd think an A4 4.2 Quattro with DSG would still wive a WRX a run for its money though...

Sorry, but I don't even know how you can compare these two cars. The WRX would win hands down. I managed to beat an A4 with an exhaust in my old 1994 Eagle Vision and I even had a blown intake manifold gasket at the time. There is no question that he was racing to.

No question, the WRX. The A4 is a waste of money.
