Compressor acting up take off?

i have a 91 silverado and this is the 3rd time so far..... brand new compressor charged and everything..... its startin 2 catch and im affraid its goin 2 lock up again like last time.... is there somethin i can buy where its just a pully in place of the compressor and take my compressor completely off? if so whats the exact name of the part or even the part #? theres no alternate way 2 run the belt without using the compressor so i know there has to be such a thing on these trucks...
