Pontiac GTO WOW!!!!
Ok I for the first time saw a pontiac gto in my area i pulled up beside it and was wondering what it had under the hood i thought well cant be much well i was wrong. it has 350hp stock that is incredible i think and its a v8 non turbol. any of you race one of these yet? i would of gotten creamed by him but it would of been fun.

Its a fast car, but it sure comes up short in the looks department. It'll come close to hanging with a VR4 past the quarter mile marker.

It's an LS1 engine...same in the camaro SS, corvettes, trans ams, etc...usually low-mid 13s in those cars, so I'm assuming the same for the GTO. I've driven one at work, but I didn't get to really race it around, but it was quick.

ya, i was horrified by the looks! truly doesn't do justice to the legacy of the GTO. looks more like an old person oldsmobile or a wanna-be-cool pontiac.

haha, IMO it lookes like a grand am on steriods, I didn't really think much of em' when they came out, and I still don't really, but to each his own.

a stock pontiac GTO will make good race with a first gen stock and might actually pull it a little, a second gen will have a bit more advantage. Add a MBC and its all the VR-4.

GTO's arent just the LS1, they are the corvette LS1, and 1/2 way through the 1st model year they because the LS1 with the LS6 block. There are rumors of a new TT GTO that will be showing up at SEMA, I cant wait.

GTO = POS, see them all the time here, can't believe they slapped that label on that oversized / overbeefed Cavalier. I thought the same about the Celica's, but then I read how in Japan the GT4 was pushing 265 HP stock, they just made it suck here. I love muscle cars, you can't match that off the line torque, but I love it even more when I see a TT 6 cylinder, beat the hell out of a muscle car that's running 11's.
