hy ,
i own a senator 79 model it has the 3.0 engine , and i love this car but it is automatic and i want to change the gearbox to a manual one , will the 4 speed of the commodore fit or not and how to proceed with it , i'm open for siggestions if any one would like to help thank u all |

Hi, Your best bet would be a 5speed Getrag from a Monza or Senator (1978 -1987) You will need prop, pedal box, flwheel, clutch cable etc. It often works out better to get a complete donor vehicle as its cheaper !

thank you for your reply , but now i am in big trouble because one guy made the switch for me but he installed a 4 speed from a commodore , this transmission really messed up the whole car now i am rebuilding the engine and i got a new 5 speed transmission
