new wheels

my cuurent wheels are 14" on my mirage but i want to put in some 16" instead, would i have to do something to the axle to make sure everything goes alright? please help :] thanks!

If your just gonna swap rims without a lowering job, there should be no rubbing involved. UNLESS of course the rims you get has an offset very different from the factory. I don't know the factory offset for the mirage, but I would not deviate from that number by more than a couple mm. There should be no other concerns, but make sure you get an alignment after you put your rims on.
