Re: posible fuel cut??

i wouldnt think so that turbo is suposed to do 14 stock, my friend had a 95 talon he didnt have a fuel cut problem until he went into the 22+ boost level so you shouldnt have it now

Re: posible fuel cut??

Fuel cut isn't just a hesitation, it's like hitting a brick wall. I had never felt it before, and when a friend of mine told me he was hitting it (cold night), I wanted to ride so I could actually feel it. Needless to say, it's like hitting a fucking brick wall, not a simple hesitation.

Your problem is mostly likely either A.) Spark plugs B.) Plug wires C.) Boost leak. I'm thinking it's A or B, so check those first.

I'm not sure the T25 can flow enough to hit fuel cut, even on the stock fuel system. Like Matt says, check your ignition wires.

mine hits fuel cut on 15psi on cold night with a 5th inj on the intake, the guy that i got the car from didnt have the money to spend on a fuel upgrade so he got a 250cc inj and had a shop put it in on the intake, and it kicks in over 12psi. So now when i do my fuel upgrade here soon i have to get a new intake manifold and a new fuel line to take out the T that they put in to run fuel to it.

Re: posible fuel cut??

In my experience, you definately can hit fuel cut with a T25, and you can have a stuttering related to fuel cut/boost settings. Since air is measured per revolution, at low RPM, the T25 can still boost high enough to hit fuel cut. Also, at one MBC setting, my car wouldn't hit fuel cut, but stutter like it was on the verge of doing it.

Do an intake pressure test, and turn down the boost and see if it's still there. Stuttering can be many things, and 14psi by the numbers should not be a problem.

Re: posible fuel cut??

shit when i had the t-25 on my GST i did everything i could to max it out and i never hit fuel cut, at about 24-26psi between 3500-4200rpms then it would drop off to 17-18 as the rpms got higher. that is with no hose connected to the wastegate actuater (sp?) {sorry its late and i cant think!} but it sure was a fun ride.

Re: posible fuel cut??

Re: posible fuel cut??

Those would be good to check too. Also, what are you spark plugs gapped at? If you just bought them and installed them without checking the gap, then most likely the gap is too big. For your mods, .028 would be good.

This might help...

Ok, nevermind... Neither one of the links work. It would be nice if they did.
