My check engine light is on i need step by step instruction on how to get it off

Umm i have a am haveing a problem i have a 1998 honda prelude and my check engine light is on not becasue of any problems it just came on casue a friend of mine was messing with my engine now. Well were no longer freinds and i dont know how to turn of the check engin light with out having to go to the deal and get charged $80. So if anyone knows how to fix the problem or reset the computer without having to take it to the dealer pls helpppppppppppppppp?? Thanx

Take it to Autozone, they will run the ECU for codes for free...that way you will be 100% sure nothing is wrong and your ex-friend is a moron, and then they can clear it for you...all for free.
