6 second scort?
with extrem mods, including anew engine and AWD or RWD think it woudl be possible for under 20 grand canadian? seeing as how the car is relitivly light...

6 seconds in the 1/4? not even if you dropped it from a B52.
mebbe if you dropped it from a B52 on jupiter where the gravitational force is much much stronger. 6 second 1/4 miles are in the realm where no car can go, unless you call a loose collection of 'car-lookin' sheetmetal on a frame with a 500inch blown nitro burning motor a 'car'. but if you did that, it would not have to be an escort body. heck, you can make it look like big bird. |

hmm.. ive seen old 76 malibu's do 7.0 with 20 grand shoved under the hood quad.. so why not 6.0?

anything is possible. hmmmmmm......whre should we start? if you bullet proof that engine block......tube chassis......wide body the front for drag slicks......turbo at 35 psi......ummmmmmmmmmm......remove EVERYthing unneccesary on your car...and maybe ur at 7.5 seconds>?????
damit......just swap in a V8! |

teh fastest escort i know with a stock block is high 10's. and that is with the zetec and a fully striped car matted to a 6spd tranny and sponcored by Esslinger racing

v 8 diesel or gas?
if gas then im looken at a hemesperic head, dual sparks, 32v.. then put it up to racing specs and runa dual turbo set up on it..maby run a driveshaft to the rear? put in a 6 speed, a good stiff frame and cage.. all that.. with me puttin in the work.. run round 20k? not bad.. |

the NitroFish car was a profesional drag car with a v8 (10?) and ran 6sec 1/4 but it was a a purpose built car.
