Cruising speeds

Calling all 3rd gen owners, I got a question for you guys. In your last gear crusing at 3K rpms what is your speed? I ask cuz I went to get my tranny checked out cuz it doesn't seem to be getting in its last gear, but the mechanic drove my car and said it's fine it's just late, but it doesn't seem to change and when im cruising at 3K rpm I'm only driving at 60mph. It's auto btw, yea yea i know, i'll have it changed later, right now im working on making everything work properly and I'm in the proccess of replacing the suspension.

Re: Cruising speeds

overdrive is a gear in the syncromesh (the last gear) its kinda like 5th (or 6th in a 6 speed) and all it is, a gas saving gear

and you got to admit autos suck and a 3 speed? That has to be the worst.

you sure about that? I mean yea you can make a 4 speed better, but you can make a 5 speed even better and a 6 speed compared to a 3 speed is way different. Explain more why you said a 3 speed and a 6 speed is the same to you. I obviously know that you know the general differences, but what type of gear ratios are you trying to perpose?
