Indiglo color-changing gauge cluster

While surfing ebay I found an indiglo replacement instrument gauge for 98-99 monte carlo. I has six different colors you can change with a toggle button. It looks sweet but it says, "Professional installation suggested." The kit sells for about $50. Is it really that hard to take out your gauge cluster and is it worth $50?

no, it's actually pretty easy if you don't rush through it. The trick is, if you've never done it before, is while you're taking it apart to lay everything down in order, that way there's no chance of you putting it back together wrong. It should come with directions, too.

ummm, no, not if you're careful. You have to put the needles back in the same position as they were, that's about it. I don't think you'll need any special tools
