Catback Question

Just curious about the different catback systems out there and to hear your opions on how you like them.
I want to install on on my 97 Civic EX.
I want a few more HP, but I want a nice deep tone, as opposed to spending $400 to have it sound like a pissed off bumble bee.
Already have AEM V2 air intake, Megan Racing 4-2-1 headers on the way.

Any advice is appreciated!!

Thanks!

Re: Catback Question

Greddy Evo's are my favorite, fairly quiet but still growls when you step on it!

Re: Catback Question

Yup, they are all quiet at idle and cruising, but when you put your foot into it they sound mean.

I had a Greddy EVO on my si and it sounded real good after about a year of having it, it will become more high pitch though but it is not that noticable. Overall though great exhaust had the V-2 also and it sounds ballistic when V-tec hits

Re: Catback Question

if u cant hear it before u see it its not worth it. If ur looking for performance i wouldnt care wat it sounded like, besides if it sounds like a pissed off bumble bee it will be more of a sleeper+ more fun to smoke ppl. catback are a crock of shit tho. leave ur stock cat on and just get new xaust from ur catback.

oooooohhhkay. What do you think a catback exhaust is, it's from the cat back. Which means it starts at the A pipe after the cat, it doesn't replace the cat.
