Re: removabal top?

I've seen some S10's with an aftermarket convertable top, but never a Blazer.

If anyone cares to make up a kit for a first generation Blazer I'd be interested in buying one. (good business possibility for anyone that is good with fiberglass, and has some spare time)

Re: removabal top?

I'd consider doing that if my blazer wasn't intended as a winter vehicle. My sis would probably make me a soft top... but if possible I'd prefer a removable hard top.

If I could come up with a soft top kit what would you think that a reasonable price would be for the instructions for the cage, plus a quality sewn soft top?

My sis ia a clothing designer, and profesional sewer... and she might be up for the challenge

Re: removabal top?

i have no clue how much you should charge for a soft top i would say just enuf to make a little profet. but ya i want mine to have a hard top to becuase its to easy to breakin into a soft top and im planin on putting some money into the sound system and stuff. but i would like to figure out how to make it a removable hard top i just want it so when we go camping and stuff i can take the top off and do a little wheelin with some friends yakno...

Re: removabal top?

i cant seem to find aneone on the net with a removable top. but i looked at the soft tops from the fullsizes and they are $500-$600 so for a s10 i would say $350 or $400 i guess

Re: removabal top?

I'll try talking to my sister this weekend, and I'll see what she sayes. Since she lives in the states, and I live in Canada it could work out well for a joint effort. If only we could get a fiberglas fabricator we could always make kits with both a soft top and a hard top. I'd really like both so I can use my blazer for those summer camping trips, and over winter.

Re: removabal top?

if we could figure out a kit and instructions we could cut the top off and add bolt on stuff and we would have a removable hard top kit. but it takes time and money. i have plenty of time but no money lol. if i se that guy around town again ill try and talk to him and see if his is removable or not.
