91 Headlights..

What's the deal here. The lenses are dirty on the inside..SOoo I figger I need new lights.Fair enough.Today I happen to notice that the headlight is a 2 piece unit with clips holding the 2 together..I guess.Remove clips, place screwdriver between lens and housing..the housing just crumbles a bit..looks like this ain't comin apart?? Any tricks to this?? Thanks a lot!..

Re: 91 Headlights..

I've also read that you can put the whole headlight unit in an oven at low heat for a few minutes and that'll loosen up the glue enough to seperate the pieces, though I wouldn't try this unless you're already resigned to buying new ones. If you happen to get it apart, it would be a great time to remove the amber corner marker lens for a cheap clear corner conversion. Make sure you get amber bulbs in that case, as white corner marker lights aren't legal in many areas.
