Pictures of the F1 Monocoque
Hi,
I am looking for pictures of the F1's Monocoque, ie the safety cell. I have Driving Ambition and the Autocars book but I can't find a picture anywhere. Can anyone help? Thanks Farrokh

I doubt you will find what you are after. The point is that a monocoque is so called because the bodywork is not separate to the chassis.
The above picture of the F50 mono would appear to show it after it has been "cut". In other words this is not how it would appear halfway through manufacture but has been prepared specifically for the photo with parts removed. The picture of the F1 monos shows the rear wings which are an integral part of the rear structure. |
