I am having a turn signal / hazard blinker issue with my 2000 Pontiac Grand AM GT. Sometimes they don’t even work at all, and sometimes they make an awful clicking noise. Now I have read that Pontiac did a recall to fix this, but when I contact them, they tell me that the recall does not include my vehicle, when the vehicles that they recalled suffer from the exact same problem. I also have this weird intermittent issue with my reading lamps that are positioned on my rear view mirror, sometimes they will work, and sometimes they won’t. I don’t know if this problem is connected to the turn signals or not.
What is causing this problem and how can I fix it? |

I had the same signal issue with my 2001. And I got stuck outside of the recall as well. It wasnt a too horrendous price to fix it. I have noticed many issues reoccuring numerous numerous times with the grand am that have gone without recall.. its aggervating... (as i stare at the $400 bill i gave to the dealership today to fix one..grrr.. lol sorry)
And as far as the mirror read outs.. if its the compass it most likely just needs to be reconfigured.. which on my other car didnt cost anything. they just drove the car in a 360. But if thats not the real issue I fear I cant help you... ... Best wishes and cheap repairs! |
