What fluid would be used in the hyd.to raise the ragtop?

1975 Cutlass Conv top fluid
I have a 71. Originally they used brake fluid. If yours is clear, that is what you have. You can also use Dextron rated tranny fluid, which is what my system now has. The nice thing about tranny fluid is that if you get a leak, it won't eat your paint like brake fluid will. A good site to check out is <www.442.com/tech/tech.html>. Click on the Mechanical icon.
