413 CID V8 265HP starting problem

Hello to all and thanks in advance for any assistance!
I am a novice repair person.
I have a Dodge Superior Motor home which I haven't driven much since I bought it last year.
I was starting it and driving it for maintanence purposes every 2 weeks
It always started and ran terrific as it was well kept by one owner until I got it.
then I had a gap of 3 months when i didn't start it at all.
It stood the 3 months on a hill with a fairly steep pitch.(?)
I went to start it and move it to winter storage and it would not start.
Starter sounds strong, and it seems to be getting plenty of gas and sounds SOOO close to starting but it will not.
Is there an ignition 'module" or some such thing I should test? and/or could the pitch of the hill be an issue?
i am at a loss and would appreciate any help
thank you
scott

Re: 413 CID V8 265HP starting problem

I own a 1971 Superior (Dodge M400) with a 413 V8
You should install the Pertec electronic ignition upgrade,
and fix the Dodge wiring problems. Check out the Madd Electrical
web site-it is what I used as a model for rewiring my ignition/
charging system. Mine fires up on the first touch of the starter!!!
Also, my rear fuel tank has never worked right because of inproper
sized fuel lines. This RV has other issues caused by the factory
engineers (idiots) such as the remote oil filler gets clogged with dirt!!
Have Fun
