Inheriting Grandpa's Aurora

I am going to pick up the father-in-laws Aurora this weekend and bringiit home. He purchased a new car and they didn't even want it for a trade. It's a clean 95; garage kept etc and only has around 60k miles. After I get it home what do I need to check to prevent problems? I doubt if the trans has been serviced but since new they haven't had any significant problems with the car. Just what I would consider maintenance; battery, starter, tires and such. Any advice is appreciated. Oh one thing, it does have a sunroof and will be outside here in Georgia, anyone have problems with leaks and what was needed to resolve that?
Thanks in advance for your advice!!

WOW! Lucky dawg....good job.
I would check the fuel rail first off and make sure that its been recalled and switched out before you go driving off and catches fire.
Other than that I would just go to a mechanic that you know to do a full inspection
*transmissions - I've had to put a new one on mine 2 years ago
*shocks/struts - just put in new ones in the back and runs great
Other than that the basics - cables and whatnot...no idea about the sunroof...haven't put one in yet.
Again - good job on getting it wit low miles.
Are you going to put anything into it i.e. stereo, speakers, or leave it factory?

Right now I plan to leave everything original. The wife is going to use it as a daily driver. I know it has a CD player and I assume its the original. I'll check with the father-in-law if he had the fuel rail problem taken care of. If it was recalled when Olds was still in business I'm sure it was done. He went to one dealership to buy and service all his cars. They took pretty good care of him over the years. He was really bummed out when they closed up.
You had mentioned something about cables, what cables? Battery, wiring harness? I try to do most of my own mechanical work but electronics I don't like to deal with. Guess I'll just peruse this board to see what other people have done. Thanks.
