ABS Light

For some reason in my 1998 Tahoe, My ABS light came on, the truck stops fine and have no problem with the breaks clunking or squeeling or anything. Any suggestions?

Re: ABS Light

This means your abs will not work, your regular braking will work fine but no abs, could be a wheel sensor

Re: ABS Light

Look at the post directly after this one about what the wheel sensors will do. That is the cheapest replacement. If your Tahoe is 4 wheel drive, it is about the same amount to buy the hub assembly and sensor together as a unit, instead of just buying the sensor by itself. Timken Bearings makes the original equipment unit. If it is a sensor, the cost is about $140. Outrageous if you ask me, and for just a two foot piece of wire really. Hope this helps.
