4th gen Hatch with LS Swap $800-1000 Good Deal?
Now I got this guy who is right around the corner from me in town, has a pretty clean 4th gen with an LS swap and probably a bad (edit)BLOCK(lol)-the motor won't crank, the head is fine though we checked it out...he's got HX rims with decent tires, he want me to trade him either my rims or I might be able to give him $800 cash (they want $1000) The car ran fine before I actually raced him on the street, this was the hatch with the LS I raced and no one believed me. So you think I should do it? My friend is going to help me do the whole swap for free, and he's gonna buy the body from me for $500...

I've got a whole ls engine in an integra in my garage, and i have no idea if i should take the engine out, and swap it in my civic too. 140,00- miles is alot, but less then my 165,000 in the civic
is the ls engine gonna last?? if it were me, id grab that car.

DO IT, but keep the hatch. Hatchies are way sexier than crx's.

if the blocks bad then thats not really good. if u can get ur hands on a new block then yea it would be fine but i dunno if it would be totally worth it. dont wanna see u toss a new motor in and then blow it because of a weak block

Re: 4th gen Hatch with LS Swap $800-1000 Good Deal?
Well now the guy renegged on the whole deal said a guy from like an hour away is going to get it for $1500. Well damn. I knew I should've just jumped on it when I had the chance.
I didn't know what I had then. I mean how much is a complete LS swap? $800-$1200? I was gettin that (less a block) a whole damn hatch, with HX rims, and I was gettin the whole thing installed and then I could sell the hatch for $500 and some nice white 16" wheels ![]() Hopefully the guy doesn't come down and get it I'm just gonna show up at his door with the rims and $200 wouldn't you? |
