WHere can I get the police Scanner?
OK the other day i got a ticket because i didnt see the cop so i heard about this police scanner hing and im looking for it ,but cant find it, im not sure if it even is a police scanner so help me out. where can i get it,? how does it work? does it work? how much is it? and how to install it? is it hard to install it?

I think you mean a Rader detector. They alert you when they detect the use of a police speed gun giving you time to slow down.
You can purchase them anywhere like Radio Shack or Sears. They have varying performance with the best one generally being the Valentine One. You can check out there website for more details.

Unless you spend a lot of $ on a top of the line one, it doesn't do any good. Because once the radar detector goes off, they've already hit you plate with the speed gun. But if you're at a light and there is a cop around (and they actually have the gun on) then yes it will work to let you know not to peel out. Most of them just hook to the cigarette lighter and stick to your windshield with suction cups. Also check to see if they're legal in your area or state before you buy one.
