87 CRX Si studdering...

My 87 CRX Si has some sort of problem. When I shift under full throttle in any gear, she bogs down for a second before the power kicks in the new gear. I've done all the usual tune up solutions and I'm wondering if there is any other explanation? My 85 CRX DX didn't do this and had enough grunt after a shift to squeak the tires briefly. What could this be?

No, the light isn't on. I also have a problem when cold starting... the car usually idles right down to nearly stalling. Could it be related?

Check your timing... Sounds like it might be a little off.
