Thumbs up Any good reasons?

Give me a good reason why I should have voted for Bush and a good reason why I should have voted for Kerry. If you can't think of a reasonably good reason for either candidate then do some more thinking before posting. Don't give reasons not to vote for either and don't bash, if you don't have somethign nice to say about both candidates then don't say anything at all.

Re: Any good reasons?

I consider myself a good judgement of character, and Bush got my vote. Kerry strikes me as a typical wanna-be Kennedy. I grew up in Mass, and got a good dose of his type. Snobbish boors that use their power to their own ends, and treat everyone else as serfs. Mass is the most corrupt place I've ever seen, and I've seen a lot of places.

Re: Any good reasons?

obviously aloharocky can't follow instructions. The question was fairly simple. Why are you voting for Bush ,as opposed to why are you voting against Kerry?

Re: Any good reasons?

haha this is great.... i don't know that i could think of a good thing about either.

isn't it sad that politics these days really has become the lesser of two evils?

i suppose that if someone who was actually going somewhere and had charisma came along they could really get a huge amount of support... perhaps thats what made people like Hitler able to do the things they did. I'm not advocating many of his practices, but he was a great leader, if a terrible person. Just a thought... would people follow someone like that today? perhaps if the clensing was based at the middle east? terrorists?

I like this guy.

Perhaps you should look at reforming your electoral laws so that truly excellent presidents could stand for as many terms as they wished......One can only speculate what may have been if Bush had had to stand against a real President.

Re: Any good reasons?

I'd just like to see a popular vote and campane restrictions so that people like kerry and bush arent the ones that we are forced to choose from. And fear has proven to be a powerfull tool to divert attention from other issues, that shouldent happen.

Re: Any good reasons?

I can follow directions. But I'm sure I could think of more than just 1 good thing about both.

Bush - Gave more tax cuts for couples who are married. This was long over due.

Kerry - Plan to give tax cuts for people with income of $200,000 or lower (majority of the population of the US).

I Think Tax Cuts For Married Couples Is Discriminatory And Prejudiced.

Just Personal Opinion.

You obviously aren't married! He simply repealed a penalty tax - a penalty for being married!!!!
I don't get the "Discriminatory And Prejudiced" comment, but to each his own...

Anyway, the election is over, time too move on, find something else to battle about, we are all "over-it"!!!

Re: Any good reasons?

Discrimination Against People Who Choose Not To Marry, Or Couples That Can't.

I Wasn't Aware That There Were Extra Taxes For Married Couples, But Then Aren't Married Couples Over There Allowed To Lodge A Single Tax Return?

Over Here Family Tax Cuts Means Just That, Married Couples Pay Less Tax, It's An Economic Incentive To Get People Into A Situation That Is Deemed Appropriate By A Conservative Government, And If You Follow It Back Far Enough Those Ideals Have Their Routes In The Predominent Religous Beliefs Of Those Governments.

I Don't Like Organised Religion, And I Definately Dont Think It Has A Place In Politics, As Such I Don't Like Political Moves That Are Essentially A Result Of Religious Type Beliefs.

No I'm Not Married, Not Saying I Wont, but i would like to save up and build a nest so to speak before jumping into anything (thats gonna be hard when i'm paying up to 60% Tax in Australia), I just Think That Tax Breaks Are Equally Deserved By Other Segments Of The Community.

Personally I Woul;d Like To Start A Young Professionals Party. We Dont Get Sick, We Pay Our Way, We Don't Burdon The Police/prison System, (education Is Ok Cause We All Need That Some Time Or Other) But Perhaps You Get My Drift. We Get Taxed Heavily To Pay For Other Peoples Families And That May Mean That We Never Get A Family Of Our Own That We Have Worked For While Some Kid On Welfare Has Just Gotten Drunk And Clumsy. I Could Keep Going But If You Think About It You'll Be Able To Fill In The Blanks.

The U.S. had a tax penalty for married couples of $500.00/year. This brainstorm came from the democrats in 1989.

Ok, that tax rate would cause another revolution in the U.S., and I'm not being funny!

Tax codes based on personal responsibility? Sounds pretty republican if you ask me!!!
