Re: paint color for real spoiler

I would keep the spoiler same color as the body.. It doesnt look so choppy and pieced together.. looks smooth and factory
stripes would look good though, same color scheme i was gonna use with my 82 maro but it wasnt worth painting

Re: paint color for real spoiler

I am all about the spoiler matching the car too. Just an opinion. When I had my car painted i painted it was done in all red even the part of the hood that used to be black and the ground affects that were originally silver on the 83's

Re: paint color for real spoiler

yeah i hear ya. i was going to paint my 85 z28 all red. it was red with gold gound effects. but i sold it and got the 74 im working on now. thanks for your opinions. if i go with the racing strips, im for sure keeping its yellow to match the car. i just need to find out how to paint the strips.

It will look alot nicer with the racing stripes being painted on the spoiler than mismatching colors.

If u do racing stripes they should go all the way over the spoiler. I though u were talking about painting the whole spoiler a different color. If i ever get the funds up to paint my car again I want to do some pearl or iridescent stripes that u can see only in certain light. LIke white stripes that look they are layed under the red paint instead of over. Thought that may look pretty good. I would have to try it out on a model or something before i had it done though so i would know how it was going to look.

Re: paint color for real spoiler

that would look cool. i wouldnt know how to start that though. sounds a bit tricky. wouldnt the red just cover the white?
