Got Damn Toolbars
I cant get rid of these toolbars i have in Internet Explorer.... and they're really startin to piss me off
I have one at the top that i cant even right click and remove (if i wanted to every time i opened explorer) and a blue one that pops up at the bottem every single time i open explorer and i have to close it every time. I've used my Mcafee to get rid of any trojans and "unwanted programs" and then adaware right after. BUT THEY ALWAYS COME BACK!! Sometimes they'll go away for a little while after i do the cleaning and restart but then bada bing bada boom back again. I cant get rid of these motherfuckers

Re: Got Damn Toolbars
what you need to do, is find a tech computer forum and ask them for advice. They told me to get Hijack This and post my print thing
then they said to d/l Ad Aware and SpyBot, these 2 programs together will kill those wak toolbars otherwise fuck knows

Re: Got Damn Toolbars
Go to add or remove programs in controll panel and remove all the programs such as toolbars and crap, then there will still be a folder in C:Program Files\ I usually delet those as well. If there is a massege that the program is being use go to task manager and close any processes that are not needed (usually have the program name as part of the process name) sorry for explaining so complicated, the easiest thing to do is format your computer and just start over (make sure you use at least windows firewall and stop watching porn from bad websites). And IE is a retty good browser just do windows security updates and turn on firewall.

Re: Got Damn Toolbars
If they come back on their own after McAfee and adware removal programs, more than like it's an adware program that's installed on your system. Check your Add/Remove programs utility in Control Panel and look for any suspicious programs that might possibly be the culprit. Also, it helps if you remove any internet connectivity while cleaning your computer. Most adware programs "talk" to the ad servers to pipe that stuff over to you. Not much they can do without a network connection. This will keep them from going ballistic on you while you attempt to clean them off. If you're on dialup, just remove the telephone cable from the modem. If your on a network, just unplug the network cable from your network card.
After you uninstall any possible suspicious programs, then run Ad-Aware and Spybot and see if they find anything else. Make sure you have the latest versions/updates for them as well. Also helps to check your Task Manager and see what's running when the ads pop up. It should help give you some clues as to which program(s) are causing the issue and where to find them and what their name/folders are. Also, it is safe to delete everything in the C:\Windows\Temp\ directory. Nothing in there is necessary and if anything's needed, it's always auto-generated by the program(s) that need the scratch directory when they're run. You can also go to C:\Documents and Settings\ and open the profile directory you use. Make sure your hidden folders are visible. From your profile directory, open "Local Settings" and then "Temp". You should be in a directory tree like this: C:\Documents and Settings\"Profile Name Here"\Local Settings\Temp\. You can delete everything in there as well. And don't forget to clear out your Temporary Internet files directory. There's an option to do that in Internet Options. Delete all files and all offline content. Only thing you should have left after that are cookies. Ad-Aware and Spybot will root out the bad cookies.

Re: Got Damn Toolbars
if you still get them, you want to go into your registry and delete them out of HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Extensions
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Explorer Bars if they are still there, you computer is on crack |

well actually its a bit deceiving but that avantbrowser is just an IE plugin. So it still uses the IE engine and most likelly all its holes. So far my fav by far is Firefox. I switched form IE a long time ago and started to use regular Mozilla then when firefox got to a higher build i switched to that and been happy ever since (of course it was called firebird back then and it was not even the first name). I jut love using it on both my windows and mandrake desktops. It works perfect on both platforms and i could only asume it works just as fine on the other supported ones.
