1994 325i need help putting in radio code !!!

ok i HAVE the 5 digit radio code but i dont know how to put it in. the code is 56246 but when i punch that in nothing happens. i was thinking maybe i had to hold a button when punching them in but i dont know which button to hold or hit before putting in the code. any help would be greatly appricated

You just push the #s in. I just did mine today. I change the battery and the word code is on the radio. just put in the number and 530 AM comes up. Dave

hmmmmm... that doesn't seem to work for me, maybe i should unhook the battery then hook it back up. And see if then i could put the code in and get it to work

You might have the wrong code book. This might help. Pull the radio from the dash [leave it connected if you want] and write down the radio's serial number you'll find on the back of the unit [metal, plastic or sometimes paper tag]. The dealer can give the corresponding Radio Code in about a minute.

if you put the wrong code in, you will have to wait 1 hour with the car running before you could try again..
