HELP! with brake lamp

the console shows that i have a poblem with my tail lamp. you know the little picture of the car below the gas meter. my brake light bulb went bad. i put a new one in. light went away. then later on it comes back on. so i'm driving to kragen to buy another bulb. when i park i get out and take a look and my tail lights, everything is lit up fine. looked inside the trunk , the bulb is even lit. but according to that little display below the gas meter i have a problem with the tail lights? WTF! is there a relay or something that might be stuck? i need some advice. don't know what else it could be

Did you try having someone push your break pedal down inside the car, while you go out to the back and look? You might notice a light out only when the brake is being pushed.

this moring when i was warming up my car, everything was normal. i even pumped the barake and had my wife check to see if it was lit. everything was fine. but during my drive, the freaking light comes back on again. i was at a stop light and the just came on. so i'll take a look at the filament. and just put another new bulb in there. thanks for the help.

If the problem still running, you must have an short circutz somewhere or had a short. Try reseting your ECU, maybe it will resolve the problem if the short isn't there anynore.

Peace y'all, Raph...
