Cool Chevy Beretta GTZ

Well I haven't finished a model in a long time, nor worked on one. I wanted to do something different for a change, something that suited my tastes. So I got this kit from Phatmitsu today (Thanks man) and I figured I'd start it. I also got the rims from him and I thought they looked seriously badass on this car. They're 19" TE-37's from aoshima, The kit is a AMT 1988 Chevrolet Beretta GTZ with quad 4 engine.

I plan to make it pretty detailed but not over-the-edge so that I never finish it. It will be pretty much box stock with the exception of the rims and a few various engine wires and stuff. I'm not sure on a paint scheme yet but I'm thinking either Black, Or Mica Red. The seats are out of a Tamiya R32.

you know you like my purple cutting mat

Hopefully I can stay motivated and actually finish this, After this one is done I plan on finishing my Eclipse and Turbo Focus.

Cool!
I always liked the Beretta.
It looks like a 4x4 in the 2nd pic though
Got any pics of the Quad-4? That was an awesome engine.

Re: Chevy Beretta GTZ

I don't have any pics of the motor yet, It just got started. I'm mostly working on the rear suspension, scratchbuilding some various things.

I'll post some pics when I get a chance.

Some updates.

I cut off the molded in, ugly stock sway bar.

Did some filling/sanding.

New swaybar, Off a Tamiya Jeep Grand Cherokee. I finally used this after MANY failed attempts with making a swaybar with solder.

New swaybar attached onto rear suspension.(sorry, blurry)

16V Quad 4 DOHC valve cover. (will be de-blinged )

Close up of Custom hood, I might CF it and paint the vents black, Anybody got any ideas?

Hopefully tomarrow I can finish remaking the rear suspension, and start assembling the motor.

If anyone can find reference pics of a quad 4, let me know I've searched google and found some. But none were of help to me.
