loud loud knocking sound from middle of motor

ok i got a 94 civic ex 1.6 nothing on the car is stock every thing on my car is after market from the tip of the bumper to the back of my dual exaust expect for my motor wich i have the ususal bolt ons. well 5 days ago i herd this chatter.. i thought it wus my cluch b.c about a week before i herd my throw out barring squiling.. so i figured.. daym.. time to replace that cluch so i drove it to my friends house the chattering sound got worse and worse until my car wouldnt stay on it would turn on if i didnt keep it above 1500 rpms. so i went and bought a cluch replaced it in 3 hours .. they car stay on it didnt die ne more but there is this loud loud banging sound from the middle of the motor ... i lived outta town so i had my dad come and tow me home with wus a nother 50 miles ... so its been parked in the back garage ever since.. im planing on taking off the exuast and oil pan to see if its something there.. would any one have any idea what it might be.?? any reply would help.

other than the loud banging, what other symptoms are you experiecing?

figuired it out took down the oil pan ..it was a bad rod bearing..
