ABS light on!!! Please help

I just bought a 95 accord EX last month. Yesterday, when i tired to install the indiglo gauges, i discovered that previous owner had taken off the ABS indicator from the meter. So i bought one from the junk yard and re-plugged the indicator. Now the problem is coming. The light doesn;t goes off. When i tried to hit my brake (since i bought the car), the steering wheel began shake to the left and right while the speed around 25-30 mph. I can feel the pedal bouncing, but just felt the whole car bounce toward to the front (kind feel like those 2 disc brakes cars without ABS). As i think with 4 brake disc, the car will have better steadiness when i hit the brake.

Syptoms
1.when slow down, driver side can hear hissing sound from the brake
2.when back up the car, i hit the brake, can hear caliper clamping at the disc from the rear ( not loud, just kind like creaking sound)
3.Yesterday, i hit the brake hard, front tire squeaking on the road, and move to the left.( i suppose, no matter how hard we hit the brake, the tires shouldn't stop immediately and make squeaking sound on the road surface)

So now what's the problem?
1. Alignment problem?
2. Bent Disc problem?
3. Rear Disc caliper doesn;t work? (suspect this coz the car bounce to the front, when the brake hit hard)
4. Tires problem? coz my mechanic told me need to change the tires
5. Or others problem?

Please kindly state all the possibilities problems for me.

Thanks for the help dudes. Thanks a lot

Re: ABS light on!!! Please help

pulsation of the brake pedal when applied is an indication of warped rotor. screeching of tires on pavement when braking could be bad tires or failure of anti-lock brake system. just have the rear pads checked out....maybe just need to be replaced. if your abs light is on....pulling the codes will help eliminate some of the guess work.

Re: ABS light on!!! Please help

ok u need to get a few things checked up
1.Since u just bought the car, it could be the person who had it earlier, had the cv's replaced, and didn't get the ones that support abs.
2. feel ur rotors, if there rough, get em surfaced.
3. check ur tires, less pressure in on of em can cause pulling to a side when braking.
4. get ur brake pads checked out too, squealing could be worn out pads.

sp basically u need ta get ur whole brake systemn checked out, most of it u can do urself. Good Luck!

Re: ABS light on!!! Please help

Good advice...also the simplest thing...check your brake fluid..make sure it isn't low, that will throw an ABS light.

Re: ABS light on!!! Please help

You sure that you accord has Anti-lock Break system?? Some times the ABS light stands for Air Bag System. My ABS light came on and my car doesn't have Anti-lock Brake System and I talked to Honda technician and they told me that my Air Bag System needed to be replace at x-miles or so.

Yesterday i check every connector on ABS system, Damn ! i wanna to wack off the previous owner, he disconnected the connetor from modulator unit and unplugged the indicator light F**k, So i reset the fuse to erase the memory.
Now the problem came, when i turn my key to ACC, the ABS light still there, the moment i start my engine it goes off.

Then, i just drive my car not more than 1 minute, the light on again. B4 that i can hear the "humming" sound from the modulator unit.

So Can it be i need to replace the modulator unit? or some other problems?

Coz the indicator light doesn;t blink, and i can;t get the DTC code too.

Please help
thank you
