Hello All! - amp install?

Hello everyone, new to this forum. I bought an '04 colorado about two weeks ago, its a black sport, this truck is great. Anyway, i was wondering if anybody has figured out how to install an amp? i would like to find out how to remove the radio and maybe find a wire harness diagram. I have XM and a cd player, i want to use the stock radio but have a sub in there. Does anyone have any information?
thanx

First off, Welcome

What i would do is take the rear speaker covers off and splice the wires. Run those to the amp.

You need to buy something along these lines. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...ayphotohosting
It will convert the regular old speaker wire that you have spliced into RCA jacks to allow it to hook up to an amp...Hope this helps

Yep, that's the only way. Personally, I'd look for a better quality converter than that being shown. Cheaper ones tend to bleed noise into the system.

Removing the radio is real easy. Just pop the surrounding panel. Some dealerships will let you look at an exploded view of your dash if say, you ask for some sort of part
