radiator fan on

I have a 1993 6-cylinder five speed Camry. The hydraulic radiator fan runs continually. Is that normal?

Re: radiator fan on

I beleive the radiator fan is electric and it should not run all the time, sounds like a short or stuct relay

Re: radiator fan on

If you connect a jumper wire on the data link connector under the hood betweem the E1 and OP1 the fan should run approx 1100 rpm. If you pick up a Haynes manual it describes further how to test these systems.
FYI 1992-94 V6 Camrys came with hydrauliclly driven cooling fans.

Re: radiator fan on

NP, I had never heard of a hydraulic driven fans either until i got my 93 V6. It is driven by the Power steering pump and has a modulation valve that controls the speed.
