CD Player Volume
I have a 2003 Focus and notice that when I attempt to play the CD player at a loud volume, the volume is automatically limited. It does not do this for the radio however.
Does anyone else notice this? Is this just the standard setup and can this be adjusted in anyway? Thanks |

Re: CD Player Volume
This happened to me on my 00 ZX3, then my radio just went dead; had to buy a new head unit. If it's that new, I'd take it to the dealer and complain.

ive noticed that also, at around 25 the volume sorta levels out on its own but at lower volumes the bass is a lot clearer, maybe its just the speakers over excursion?

Re: CD Player Volume
its a feature on the stero to reduce distortion so you dont damage your speakers... depending on which stero you have.. look in your owners manual, should tell you in there how to change it... does in mine.. i have the 6-disc..

i have the stock blaupunkt mp3 single disc player, get a stereo removale tool, (about $3.00) and pull the deck out, disconect the molex connector in the back that has the single wire in it and that's it! no more annoying distortion control...
