Speed of governor (if any)
Ive had a couple cars, all of which had governors. A 96 sebring conv. had a spedo that read up to 120, and went 110. And my 2001 Sequoia, which of course will do a hell of alot faster than the 98 its governorned at. Ive got my 00 GT 5 speed up to about 135 and want to take it to the edge, but am a little scared of the fuzz. Ive got a Passport X50 detector, but am still a little apprehenssive. Anyone know what the governor is set at? Just so that i can know when im getting close to it.

Re: Speed of governor (if any)
There is no governor, but the car is drag limited, and the stock gearing will run out at 172mph. Your top speed in stock trim is about 135-145mph. Adding power (turbo or super, not an intake) will allows you to exceed that limit.

Seing as how the redline is 6200, theres not a whole lot more you can do than that. But I do know some cars will shut off at the governed limit. Not sure I will ever grow balls big enough to hit 6200 in 5th, but when that day comes i will let you know...lol
