i can't do shit on this fucking computer with out it freezing, at least one hundred billion fucking times apon a single boot.

i was playing my ps2 for HALF A FUCKING HOUR, I COME BACK, AND I OPEN ONE FUCKING WEB PAGE, AND EVERYTHING FUCKING FREEZES, WHAT THE FUCK?

not to mention i had unsaved work that REALLY PISSED ME OFF TO THE POINT THAT I HIT THE KEYBOARD AND BREAK IT

ok, first of all....a virus wont get deleted just like that.....there are registry files that you have to remove too and not all cheap virus remover programs remove the traces and registry files from your computer. second of all.....boot up ur computer with a startup/boot disk and type in "format c:" and it'll ask you if you want to format your hard drive and say yes and it'll delete everything on it. next......get some windows xp and then either norton antivirus or mcafee antivirus and be happy and stress free for the rest of your life... and then you wont have to worry about those damn bitch ass mother fucking piece of shit problems you get on your computer.

yup what they fucking said. Definently a good idea to look into some more memory too. On my old computer I used to have the same problem, it was the memory getting backed up constantly (not having enough memory to support the programs I was constantly running and my system not dumping it fast enough when the progs were closed.)

try not using it period, once you install it. It will install back ground programs that you dont even know about which eats away at your computer eventually. I suggest saving all your "important" stuff to CD-R and reformatting.

256 should be sufficient but not for multi-tasking. Get a 512 stick or 265mb more and you'd be set.

Do NOT TRUST any downloading sites ...for music that is. Kazaa is known to fuck up ppl's computer. Get rid of it asap!

If you must use kazaa, use kazaa lite, its the version without the spyware. But basically any software you install that have spyware will embed itself to your operating system which will automatically install other sypware, the cycle is never ending and it compounds.

A good way to avoid spyware is to only limit the task your doing on your pc, and if you need to expand on that domain look up the program before there is any spyware, because it gets annoying and as you have experienced you can loose your work, data, etc.

Either begin backing up and starting fresh again, except make sure what you have also backup doesn't have viruses (e.g. macro viruses as they can be spread to documents).

that should get rid of the spyware, and like most people said you should also get an antivirus program asap. Computers are a bitch if you treat them wrong...well at least that's what my experience tells me...

This time my computer froze, and locked up again, twice in an hour (forced reset), this time Kazaa wasn't open, WinMX was, and I was downloaded 2 songs.
