Re: Location of PCV valve?

for dpfi its right next to the valve cover on the front of the manifold. It doesnt have a bend or nething in it, its straight. Its in a staight rubber tube.

I just "located" mine..yeah..it doesn't exist. Is it wrong that my engine sounds fine and idle's great without one? I see an opening right next to the valve cover on the manifold, an opening a the size of a finger or so.. I was wondering what the hell that was..lol Where can I purchase a new pcv hose, etc??

Re: Location of PCV valve?

I got mine at advanceautoparts for $3.00. They even have them in stock too. I'm surprised you don't have any backfiring though cause they prevent it from happening.

Hey and since we're on the topic of this, How do you go about cleaning the vaccum line out of carbon exactly?

Re: Location of PCV valve?

I took a piece of wire and ran it though mine till most of the junk fell out then sprayed some carb cleaner in it.

The pcv valve on my gremlin is mounted on the top of the valve cover and isnt the type the screws in, it just pushes down in a grommet and has the hose attached to it, its a little loose and when you launch it comes out and slaps against the under side of the hood. Could me that 380ft/lbs of torque...

Re: Re: Location of PCV valve?

Totally off topic here.. Do you have an ETA on the spark plug wire cover, etc? I don't have the cash this minute, but I will very soon.
