ecu mods needed v6 3.8 camaro (help)
I have a 96 camaro v6 3.8 with a cold air intake and duel exhaust. are there any ecu mods out there to increase hp? thanks

you should not use ECU modification to make HP. That is not what they are ment for. You use ECU modifications to compliment a setup you have ( IE a different cam, different injectors, ect.) Yea you can increase you rev limit but trust me, They don't rev limit them because they want to piss you off or for enviromental reasons (if they wanted to rev limit for enviromental reasons, they would of set it at like 3k) It is there because the cam and valve train are only going to handle soo much. Another thing they will do is add more fuel into the mix. Well, since the computer does that automaitcly, unless you are running bigger injectors, FI, or like to have crappy gas mileage. Be my guest to throw more fuel at it. Rule of thumb. engine first, computer second.

not too much out there for the 3.8. i think hypertech makes a programmer, thats prolly the best you can do...
