Unhappy no heat

I have no heat! I wonder if it might be the heater core? Someone told me to check the heater control valve? Where might that be found? I'm getting cold so I need some help!

My car also runs pretty cool, but I think it has to do with one of the codes that I had show up today?? Guess this is a common problem with contours!

If you have the duratec V6, the waterpump is pretty known for failure since the plastic impellar shatters over time.

Re: no heat

I had a problem with my heat when I first got my car. I am not sure what year Contour you have but on the 98's there is a recall on part of the heater. Call Ford and have them run a VIN check on your car and they will let you know if you have the problem or not. I took mine into a Ford dealership and the fixed it for free.
