Can it be done?
Simple question, I have a bunch of parts with quite extreme convex and concave curves but my question is concerning this one particular part, the front fender:
http://images2.fotopic.net/?iid=y57m...ze=1&nostamp=1 http://images2.fotopic.net/?iid=y57m...ze=1&nostamp=1 As you can see in the first pic (hopefully), the temporary template I made has quite a lot of wrinkles, now I´ve read about the SMS decals here and came to the conclusion that they are simply the best ones around. But, can they form into that kind of extreme shape? Any thoughts, suggestions, I´m going to try it sooner or later but I´d really like to hear some comments from the very skilled people on this site, : ) Regards, Fredrik

that should work out pretty easy, lots of people have used cf on bike fenders. all you got to do is use a setting slolution and let that do the work for you.
you can always cut that into 3 pieces to make it easier.

im with JT, cut the decal into 3 or more to make appliction easier.

Yeah, i would also cut it into 3 peices. I made a bike which came with a CF decal for the front fender and that was in 3 peices already, so i guess that is the best way.

Yup, I agree. Cut it in 3. First I'd lay the two side pieces and the top piece last, so the edges would be less visible. A hairdryer is also very handy when applying on a really curvy surface. I haven't applied on a bike fender myself, but on an Evo scoop. Worked great!!

Thanks everybody, think I´ll buy two SMS sheets and try both methods. But here is a even more tricky little piece, I really doubt that yiu can lay a decal onto this without wrinkles:

Well, feeling kinda silly answering to my own reply, but anyway since I had a little scrappiece of SMS CF left, I decided to give it a shot:

I havent seen a shape that SMS decals wont cover without wrinkles if it is cut into pieces correctly and setting solution used.
