Well, it is confirmed by Nissan itself: NEXT SKYLINE

We've all heard rumors, and now we no longer need to speculate. The next Skyline is confirmed and makes its public debut on June 18. Try not to hang yourselves; many rumors were correct--its a sedan.

OK OK so we all know that the Skyline is a 4 door, but then so what there was the GT-S, right?! (trying not to panic)

Now we have all been talking about how the "Skyline" name would be used for all models, versions, etc. and that the GT-R would be seperated from the others and be sold as "GT-R". If that's true and they bring it to the states I'll buy it and rebadge it with the name SKYLINE on it

Please just don't screw up the engine.

Guys, I really don't see why everyone is panicking here

There will be sedan, coupe, and the GT-R versions of the Skyline. They might just release the sedan version first .... who knows what's on their minds

I believe the sedan version of the Skyline always came out something like 6-12 months before the GT-R.

Now now folks, if the new Skyline looks like a Vento would you want it? (shudder):apuke:

Well if I don't like the R35, I'll just have to buy an R34 next time I'm in Japan and pay the $25K to have it converted to US spec. I'm sure by that time there'll other shops around that'll be able to do it cheaper:finger:

Oh ya and change my name to Didn'tlikethenewonesoIgotanoldone:silly2:

I dont know about you guys, but I think with the next Skyline, the spirit in the name Skyline is gone. Why did they lose the trademark round taillights?

I always thought that new model Skylines were introduced with GT-T/GT-S models; when the R34 came out, the first ones on the street were 2.5 GT-Ts (you know, COUPE body, rear-wheel drive, RB25 single turbo). To reintroduce the next Skyline with a sedan is like saying, "oh the upcoming GT-R is just another 'wannabe': a sedan which evolved into a sports coupe, instead of the other way around.

I pray you are right, R35USA, about the GT-R separating into its own model. I pray it separates FAR away from this new Skyline. Nissan shouldnt have even called it a Skyline.

Ya seriously! Where the hell are the round taillights?!

I went through the whole website reading what I could and there's really not much specifics, more like a bunch of sales pitch. The new spirit of the Skyline is reborn, yada, yada. We really wanted something new and exciting, yada, yada. Are they kidding?!

Didn't I prove my point that the XVL is the new Altima?! So what? The new Nissan Altima for America is the Skyline (GT-S) in Japan and maybe new Infinity I35?!

I can live with that, but the GT-R cannot be that soul-less Z concept doing anAcura RS-X doggy style just another rice boy wanabe.

Sure I love the Skyline and people may say "I just want a Skyline, I don't care what it looks like". Really?! What do you love about the Skyline? Think about it. I love it's true spirit, raw power, power that is easily attainable to those who (with money) can unleash and still keep the car under control. Hell you can drive it to the local grocery or pick-up the kids at school.

Try this on for size. Do you like the new Z concept? Well Nissan put's roud taillights and sells it at Infinity with the same engine, but throws in a Twin-Turbo. Oh and just to make sure engrave's SKYLINE on it's back-side. Price of Addmission. $50,000.

Do you still what your "any" Skyline?

I've said it before, "Oh ya and change my name to Didn'tlikethenewonesoIgotanoldone". I'll come asking for your help then Igor

Guess we all have to wait and see what happens, so far I'm not to thrilled about it, but I'm willing to wait and see:licker:
