A few pics after her paint job

Sorry if it takes abit to load but heres a few after pics, I tried to keep them small but with my dig cam being a POS it was hard. I still need to finish the stripes on the roof and rear deck lid but the rest is done.

The before pics are still in my sig, so dont flame me to bad guys remember its my first real paint job all by myself....... LOL

I know this may sound stupid but it says kidd, thats my username when I play my BHD and Nam games online. I hate it when someone has Camaro or Eclipse etc.,etc. on their windows so I put that there to be differant.

Well to be honest I stripped the car back down to bare metal, where there was bondo at I removed it and welded in new metal. Once that was all done I took out all of the lights, mirrors, spoiler and anything else I could. I would recomend if you strip your car down to use the airplane stripper and paint remover (you can get at any paint shop) its not that exspensive and works great just dont use it on plastic or fiberglass, however it is very messy. Then I just used regular automotive primer after I taped off the windows and sprayed 3 coats of that on wetsanding between coats with 400 grit paper, make sure you tackrag the car before you spray it and inbetween coats after sanding. Then I sprayed on 3 coats of paint. I used a single stage paint on mine which some people dont like but since I'm a beginner I figured it would be easier than trying to use a Laquer based 3 stage paint. I wetsanded between coats with 800, 1000, and 1200 and one the last coat after I was done sanding I used a buffing compound and shined her up real nice. I plan on putting on a couple more coats once spring gets here and then a few coats of clear just to give her a real glass look. It sounds hard but its really not, it is time consumming and will agrivate the shit out of you though. If you have a air compressor and a paint gun I would try painting a fender or something first just go get one from a junk yard and use it as a test subject this way if you mess it up your not out anything and you'll get some exsperience. Hope that helps and isnt to long.....

97camarors,

i've got the engine and tranny in, got the flowmaster exhaust and headers put on, waiting for my cat to come in. my interior is still stripped from when i had to cut a hole for the shifter and mount new swing pedals. besides the interior all that's left to do is cooling system, acessories, and wiring(the hardest part). i'm gonna post pics when i'm finally done, hopefully somewhere around xmas...
