Unhappy Axle

Hello,

My husband took the left front tire off of my 2001 Blazer on Friday because I got a nail in it. It had grease slung all over the place. He said it looks like the boot is busted? I cannot get it into the dealer untill Monday or Tuesday. Is this a big deal??? Is my axle busted??? How much will it cost to get it fixed???

Thanks,

mrainey

"Is this a big deal?" It depends on how long the boot has been torn and the axle has been without grease. Personally, if it was me and I didn't know how long the boot has been torn. I would have it repaired or replaced just to be on the safe side. You don't want to be driving with a bad axle.
