Re: no bus message 2001 stratus

This is for a 98 stratus but it is a start~

NO: 08-31-97
SUBJECT: "No Bus" Message In Instrument Cluster V.F. Display
DATE: Sept. 12, 1997
SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
"No Bus" message in instrument cluster vacuum fluorescent display.

DIAGNOSIS:
Connect Scan Tool (DRB III). If DRB III indicates "No Bus" at cluster but can communicate with other modules, remove cluster and look for a hair-line metal sliver between terminal #4 and #5 of the blue wiring connector, refer to illustration. If a sliver is present perform the Repair Procedure. REPAIR PROCEDURE:
This bulletin involves removing a hair-line metal sliver shorting the blue instrument cluster terminals.

Break and remove a hair-line metal sliver shorting the terminals in the blue instrument cluster connector. See Figure 1.
Install instrument cluster, verify "No Bus" Message is gone.
