Angry 98 Escort Overheating

I've replaced the thermostat, replaced the hoses, replaced the waterpump and the fan works.I've done the filters and changed the oil as well. It overheats when driving but now when left to idle. What am I missing?

My husband had this problem with his'98.But it was a faulty fan relay switch.Are you sure the thermostat is working properly?
