Hi I have a 1999 Yukon, while filling up yesterday some poured out from the bottom of my truck, but it stopped dripping out and my gas hand hasn't gone out, nor any lights on, so a man told me that I may have just over filled my tank, I don't see any leaks today, and the gas hand hasn't dropped, still no lights on,but there is an awful smell. Can someone please tell what is going on with this thing?

Re: Gas Leak in Yukon??
You probably got some gas on the outer rim of the filler. There is a drip well there and if you get it in there it will leak out under the truck. This is designed to do this. Don't worry, it happens a lot, and there is nothing to worry about. You will however be able to smell it unless you wash it. It is simple, put some soap and water around the gas filler door(with the gas cap on) and pour a bunch of soapy water around the whole thing!
