take out resonator help

can anyone tell me how to take the resonator out without it cutting it?

You have to remove your bumper to get to it and then there are screws or bolts (I haven't gotten that far to take it out myself yet so I'm not sure which). I dont think there is a need to emove the bumper, i took mine out without doing so.
The bolts are only attached within he resonator itself. At least on my car.
know what i did? i used the upper portion of the resonatr and put it right under the filter, that way, i have a straight inline conductor that brings air into the filter without wasting it the way the resonator did. It sounds considerabily louder compared to what it sounded like before. I am quite happy with it.

ye abut its just that i'm installing a cold air intake and the pipes has to go down thru there so thats why i have tot ake teh bumper off too so the filter goes behind it

You are putting the filter in the bumper area? I hope I am reading it wrong...if not, talk about lack of air, unless you bored out a hole in your bumper and then you could vacuum all the squirrels as you drive bye.

wrong, thats where all cold air intakes go. unless you put your's in the engine bay where it could get lots of COLD air

I have never seen one go into the bumper. got a picture?

CAI's all go down under behind the bumper area...
then yo have the regular size and short RAM's that go in the engine bay.
There is a forum somewhere that discusses both.
